Minion Hats

I saw some pictures of Minion Hats from Despicable Me on Pinterest and really wanted to make some. When I decided to visit my brother for Christmas I thought it was a perfect excuse to make them. While I was at it I decided that my friends would enjoy them as well so I got busy working.

These were the first two I made as a test run. I'm the Relief Society President and I thought it would be a cute idea to give my presidency minion hats cause they are my "minions." And I figured their reaction would tell me if my hats were cute or not.
They didn't even get them open all the way before they started squealing so I decided it was a success. Deanna and Amanda in their hats.
My brother, Matt, opening his minion hat.
Warning: There are tons of pictures because so many of them are cute and if I don't post them they will go unseen forever.
Poocer opening his hat.

 I think he likes it.
The boys like to pull them over their face to be a minion.

All the boys in their hats! Aren't they so cute?
 Here is their minion faces.
I went with a theme and got the family Despicable Me 2 for Christmas as well.
 Minion faces again.
Belle getting some help opening her present.
 Surprise it's a purple minion!
She wasn't so happy about the hat when we put it on her but a few minutes later she decided to put it on herself and looked so cute in her hat.
She found all the chocolate and had it all over her face.

Lori got a purple minion hat as well.
Here are four of them in their minion hats.
You can't see the details on the hats as well when they are on so here is a close up of the purple minions.
And the whole batch of minion hats all together. Oh I think they are so cute. I'm so glad they turned out so well!

Do you have a favorite hat? I can't pick just one. I like them all.

A puppy for Christmas

We had a visitor the day before Christmas Eve or as I like to call it Christmas Adam. His name is Max.
Look at that face. Won't he make a cute present?
A family was getting a puppy for Christmas and they needed a place for him to stay that night so my roommate volunteered to let him stay.
Oh he is such a cutie!
He was a little guy. For comparison here he is eating from a plate.
Good-night Max.

I loved getting to play with him for a night but was excited for his new family to take care of him. It made me think that I should be a puppy sitter for Christmas. If you need a place to hide a puppy for a few days let me know.

Christmas morning

I spent Christmas with my brother's family. Here are his boys coming downstairs to see what Santa brought.

Getting their first look at the presents.
Santa brought the two oldest bikes.

Grandma and Grandpa got a Kitchen for the little girl. Her first word when she came in was "kitchen."
She loved her kitchen and has been making food and taking on the phone ever since.
Here are the kids ready to open their first presents,

 A Belle doll for Belle.
Their grandparents got them a big surprise and sent them running around the house reading clues to find out what it was.
When they looked out the window the saw... a trampoline.
Here they are running down to try it out.

 They've been bouncing ever since.

Belle got bubbles and had lots of fun popping them.
